Rope (1948) review

The power to kill can be just as satisfying as the power to create " Rope is a 1948 American psychological crime thriller directed by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. The film was based on a play by Patrick Hamilton of the same name. The film was inspired by a murder of a 14 year old by two teenagers happened in 1928. "It's true that they say, Alfred Hitchcock never fails to amaze us" Rope was hitchcock's 1st movie in Technicolor. But the film is best known for its long continuous shots which makes it feel like a one shot movie. Philip Morgan and Brandon Shaw are the main characters in this movie. Just before hosting a dinner party, Philip and Brandon strangle their mutual friend David to death with a piece of rope, inspired from the philosophies they learned and they hide his body inside a chest upon which they arrange a buffet dinner.
